Where IT Security and Physical Security Converge

IP-TAC2 Boot Camp Offers Overview of Physical Security Operability Standards

With the importance of security standards continuing to grow in the industry, ISC West will host a one-day boot camp on Tuesday, April 5 to update security professionals. The IP Technology Assistance Center and Certification -- IP-TAC2 -- is part of the ISC Premier Education Series.

The course, endorsed by ONVIF, PSIA and SIA, is designed for security professionals involved in the design and implementation of surveillance, access control, analytics, PSIM and other network-based physical security technologies.

After a short introduction, the course is broken into three modules. Module 1 focuses on the design and building of the ONVIF and PSIA standards.

Module 2 reviews a market analysis report on the anticipated effect of ONVIF and PSIA standards on the security industry in 2011 and addresses such issues as the likely standards road maps and next steps within the industry.

Module 3 provides the tools to develop a business case and migration strategy for adopting security standards in many facets of the industry.

Course instructors are Keven Marier, Mike Tarras and Daniel Johnson. Participants will earn a Certificate of Completion onsite at ISC West.

The cost of the training is $895. For more information about the boot camp or to register, visit http://iscwest.com/en/ISC-West/Education/IP-TAC2/.
