ISC West Offers Large Slate Of Network Centric Educational Programs

Last year, ISC West introduced a revamped educational curriculum developed by its Education Advisory Board, and this year the expansion of courses continues. With the introduction of themes for each day -- specialty programming on Tuesday, job-specific courses on Wednesday and “Technology Panel Day” on Thursday -- also comes a slate of network security offerings.

You can consider session IT05: Security Trends: How the last 20 years and the next 20 months with change the security profession forever to be the recent history class of this year’s expo. Dan Dunkel of New Era Associates will cover how the cloud and the need for cybersecurity have affected the business community and, more specifically, the security industry. Dealers love IP video; but sometimes IP video doesn’t quite love them back. In session DT04: Generating Superior Profit with IP Video, a panel from PSA, NICE Systems and Electro Specialty Systems will point out common profit-eating problems with IP installations. The session will also feature a quiz of sorts: The “IP Video Health Check” will help you discover just how well your organization is leveraging IP video to turn a profit.
